The Duisburg-based company has been trading in steel and non-ferrous metals for more than 100 years. According to Team Falkenberg’s design, a conversion of the once small-scaled and dark floors of the headquarters now creates a connection to the immediate environment through views and visual relationships. The open space concept not only allows views to the outside, but also floods the entire interior with daylight. The clear reduction to the essentials and the harmony between the interior and the urban space is characteristic here.
